Purchasing a home, leasing a condo, and even renting an apartment can be expensive in the modern world. Just the upfront costs with down payments or first/last month’s rent often seem too much to bear. That is unless a person doesn’t mind living in a bad neighborhood. In those cases, they can probably find a place pretty cheap. However, they will also have to worry about things such as burglars, vandals, and home invaders.
If someone tells you that there’s no excuse for not being able to live on your own as a working adult, that person is probably a Baby Boomer who has no idea how much the landscape of everyday economics in the USA has changed. With all of that going on, shared space living is becoming a common choice, and here are the reasons why.
After an individual gets out on his or her own for a while, it is not uncommon for them to become lax in their ways. For instance, if the person lives alone in an apartment or house, only with a pet to keep them company, they might forget how to connect with humans. This is particularly true if the character is a homebody. Rather than heading out for a night on the town with friends or family members, perhaps, the individual wants to cozy up on the couch and binge-watch their favorite show on Netflix.
